I think the first rule to throwing a successful party is remembering that it is meant to be fun!!! ... And fun is usual found in the simple things. Although you maybe busy organising, try to enjoy it too and it will feel more of a success.

I have a number of cultural influence on me being of mixed origin - English and Malaysian as well as living the first 7 years of my life in Nigeria. I also spent a year in Tanzania when I did a gap year.
